80 Days…

It’s a very exciting day as I plan to meet with folks interested in supporting my candidacy. We will meet over coffee to dicuss:

1. Who I am and what I stand for
2. Define the campaign (what’s important)
3. Build strategy (who’s passionate about what)
4. Build the team (who are we missing?)

It’s time to “raise the bar” in politics:

1. Build a baseline of data and information (problem list)
2. Find the root cause (stop pointing and blaming)
3. Discuss solutions through collaboration
4. Creat an action plan

It’s going to be a busy day!

Today we need to focus on building quality relationships. Our goals and dreams are unattainable without them. The media plays a delicate and important role in the electoral process. We need to decide what kind of a relationship we wish to develop with each media representative. I think we can be fair, equitable, and professional, and we should expect a similar response in turn. This is how we will create “non toxic politics”.

With 82 days until the election, there are a few things I want us to think about:

First, Happy Birthday Grandma “Lal”, who turns 90 today!

As far as our campaign:

With everything that is going on in the press these days (i.e., New York Governor resigns after sex scandal with prostitute), it’s easy to see that as leaders “put themselves out there”, they become more and more fragile. Leaders more than anyone else, must remain faithful: to their families and loved ones, their mission and vision for the future, and their strategy for change and improvement. They must gather strength from developing strong, quality interpersonal relationships and use this as their foundation for positive outcomes in the future.
